WCSO personnel save two (2) more lives through the use of Naloxone

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office began training staff in the identification of a heroin overdose and on how to administer Naloxone to counteract the effect of the overdose at the beginning of August, 2015. To date, 70 deputies and 26 individuals from human service organizations throughout Washtenaw County have been trained in how to administer Naloxone. During this time period Sheriff’s Deputies have saved five (5) lives as a result of their training and ability to administer Naloxone.
