3rd Annual Purple 5k Run/Walk


Please join us to help raise Domestic Violence Awareness.

purple run logoThe Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office and the University of Michigan Police Department will host the 3rd Annual Purple Run on Saturday, October 21, 2017 starting at 9 a.m. at the Duderstat Center, 2281 Bonisteel Boulevard on North Campus. The 5K run/walk is a family event and will once again benefit SafeHouse Center.  This is a timed race for runners but also a fun walk for anyone.

All proceeds of the Purple Run will go to SafeHouse Center, an organization that provides support for those impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault in Washtenaw County.




Register online by October 12th to be guaranteed a Purple Run T-shirt.  Fees are $20 for students, $30 for adults, and $35 the day of the race.  

The entire family can come and enjoy exhibitions from Andy the Ambulance, the Washtenaw County Mounted Sheriff’s Division,  K9 Units and live music by The Soul Practitioners.
