Youth Day of Caring!

The event will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Washtenaw Area Teens for Tomorrow (WATT) and the Teen Center Without Walls (TCW2) have teamed up with the Washtenaw County Government for the 2014 Youth Day of Caring!  The event will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Youth teams, ages 13 through 24 years old, will fan out to work at community service projects throughout the greater Washtenaw Area.

Sample projects may include such activities as gardening, cleaning up areas for new playgrounds, cleaning toys, and organizing art material.  Youth Day of Caring is modeled after the Global Youth Service Day.

This is a wonderful opportunity to engage the youth of Washtenaw County in the spirit of volunteerism.  Students from Washtenaw County public and private high schools and middle schools, Washtenaw Community College, U of M and EMU will volunteer at each participating non-profit agency. Students, teachers, or community volunteers who are interested in participating should register online at www.tcw2.com or call Justin Keeney, WATT Program Director at (734) 973-4384.
