Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Show

It’s one of the most important community events of the year – the Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Show! From Sunday, July 28th through Friday, August 2nd, you’re able to visit the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds to witness the dawning of leadership.

4 H Youth ShowThis comprehensive public view of great youth programs is available FREE, with plenty of parking, the entire week. Just a quick look at the schedule of events – hour by hour – gives an indication of the breadth of interests and talent of young people in Washtenaw County. This wonderful week is made possible through Michigan State University Extension of Washtenaw County (MSU Extension).

The Youth Show provides recognition of achievement and is sure to inspire anyone, from the very young to the not-so-young. Aside from the many judging and showmanship events – including, cows, pigs, chickens, cats, dogs, horses, llamas, and more – there are plenty of fun events that get the audience involved, like Llama Leaping on Wednesday at 2 P.M. or the Activity Tent on Thursday from 9 A.M. to noon. Join us for the 4-H Advisory Council BBQ, catered by Zingerman’s Roadhouse, on Friday afternoon from 4-7 P.M., and plan to stay for all of the evening festivities.

So plan to attend – and bring the family to this super (and FREE) event!
