Team SS PORT kicks into action against the Sheriff's Office March 29th.  Participation on this SS PORT Soccer team has been shown to help connect players with housing, mental health and/or substance abuse treatment, jail diversion services and community resources - and at the same time facilitates recreation, socialization and a greater sense of motivation and self-esteem.

Plan to come watch the great soccer game, and take part in the many activities!  The purchase of T-shirts and raffle tickets not only provides you with the chance to win one of many great prizes, donated from area businesses, but as Jail Diversion Specialist Linda Bacigalupi notes, "it provides the satisfaction of making some grateful homeless community members' goals of competing in the U.S. Cup in Washington D.C. possible".  And each raffle ticket comes with a voucher for a Detroit Ignition ticket!

And... the GAME itself will be fun to watch!
