FEBRUARY 4th WAYS AND MEANS MEETING
The Board received an update on the transfer of the Library for the
Blind and Physically Disabled from Washtenaw County to the Ann Arbor
District Library by Josie Parker, Director of the Ann Arbor District
Library. The Washtenaw Library for the Blind and Physically
Disabled opened on Monday, February 2nd.
Bob Guenzel, Washtenaw County Administrator, gave a
presentation on the Financial State of the County offering best and
worse case scenarios for the upcoming fiscal challenges for the
County. The 2010/2011 biennial budget has a projected deficit that
could range from $18,787,751 to $28,076,776.

Members of the Board had numerous questions and
comments on the presentation; all voiced their support for the process
going forward to balance the budget in these very difficult economic
times.
FEBRUARY 4th BOARD MEETING
The Board discussed and reaffirmed members to the Police Services
Steering Committee and accepted comments from the Planning Advisory Board
on the Lodi Township Master Plan update. To see the cover memos and

BOARD WORKING SESSION, FEBRUARY 5TH
The
February 5th Board Working
Session featured an informational update from the Washtenaw County Road Commission. Steve Purri, Managing
Director of the Road Commission gave a financial overview, discussed the
Asset Management Plan for primary roads, collaboration of services, and
options for reform.
