MSU Extension Receives MSHDA Housing Agency of the Year Award

The Michigan State Housing Development Authority's (MSHDA's) Homeownership Division Housing Agency of the Year award was presented to Michigan State University Extension (Washtenaw & Macomb) at the 11th annual Michigan Conference on Affordable Housing awards luncheon held June 2 in Lansing.

The award was made possible through the partnerships with the Washtenaw County Treasurer, Community Development, Housing Bureau for Seniors, Legal Services of South Central Michigan, Community Housing Alternatives, POWER, Inc., and Habitat for Humanity.

On June 8, the Washtenaw County MSU Extension Office hosted a luncheon in honor of the state recognition.  A special tribute, signed by each of our legislators, was presented by Senator Randy Richardville, chair of the Senate Banking and Financial
Institutions Committee.
Letters of congratulations were
also received from Congressman John Dingell and Representative Rebekah Warren
