Local Photographers Honored in Washtenaw County Landmark Photo Contest

Photographers, judges, and local municipal leaders gathered on July 18 to honor the finalists and winners in the first ever Washtenaw County Landmark Photo Contest.Mary C. Kirby, looking at the 2008 Washtenaw County Plat book

The photos of the twenty finalists including the top five "Judges' Choice" entries were recognized at this Landmark Photo Contest reception, and can be viewed online at the Photo Gallery.  The Judge's Choice award winners showcased five of our County treasures: The Island Park Gazebo, Michigan Theater, and Barton Dam in Ann Arbor; Parker Mill in Ann Arbor Township; and the Michigan Firehouse Museum in Ypsilanti. City of Ann Arbor Administrator Roger Fraser and Photographer Ann O'Hagen and Washtenaw County Deputy Administrator Verna McDaniel looking on

  

 

 

 

 

 

These framed photos will be on display at their local jurisdiction and at the County's Library Learning Resource Center thru the end of August.  Be sure to stop by and enjoy the County sites!
