Owning Property in Local Historic Districts: Benefits & Process

Owning property in a local historic district can be a rewarding investment - and the local historic designation is an excellent tool for protecting historic Kempf House Museumsites.  

This FREE two-hour workshop, hosted by the   Washtenaw County Department of Planning & Environment will assist community members, professionals and students in gaining a better understanding of: Owning Property in Local Historic Districts: Benefits and Processes.  Presented by Detroit preservation expert Kristine Kidorf (Owner, Kidorf Preservation Consulting) the program will offer information regarding the local historic district commission processes, the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation, and the 25% Michigan rehabilitation tax credit.
