Election Results - Local and Beyond

Almost 70% of the County’s registered voters cast ballots in the November, 2008 General Election.

The results of last night’s General Election in Washtenaw County can be found on the Clerk/Register’s Elections web site.

District 1 - Mark Ouimet 

District 2 - Ken Schwartz 

District 3 - Jessica Ping 

District 4 - Wesley Prater 

District 5 - Rolland Sizemore, Jr. 

District 6 - Ronnie Peterson 

District 7 - Kristin Judge

District 8 - Barbara Levin Bergman 

District 9 - Leah Gunn 

District 10 - Conan Smith 

District 11 - Jeff Irwin 

The Election brings a new Washtenaw County Sheriff, Jerry Clayton and brings back Brian Mackie as Prosecuting Attorney, Catherine McClary as Treasurer, Larry Kestenbaum as Clerk/Register and Janis Bobrin as the County’s Drain Commissioner. 

Commissioner Karen Lovejoy Roe is the newly elected Ypsilanti Township Clerk.  Commissioner Mandy Grewal is the new Pittsfield Township Supervisor and former Prosecuting Attorney Chief of Staff Alan Israel is the new Pittsfield Township Clerk.

Other County-related results include the passage of the Washtenaw County Parks Millage Renewal Proposal. This will allow County Parks and Recreation to continue to acquire, develop, maintain and operate park and recreation sites.
