This year Washtenaw County was ranked sixth in the 250,000-499,999 population category. Commissioner Jessica Ping Mills attended the NACo conference in Richmond, Virginia, and accepted the award on July 13th.

“This is such an honor and, with this being the County's third award in as many years, it really affirms this organization’s push towards “continuous improvement”.  I'm very proud of the work our people continue to do in using technology to provide excellent public service," said Washtenaw County Administrator Bob Guenzel

Executive Director of the Center for Digital Government Cathilea Robinett said her organization is finding counties using information technology in increasingly innovative ways.
