Washtenaw County Master Composter Class - Tuesdays beginning September 30, 6:30-8:30P, 7 weeks, $49
Working in partnership with the City of Ann Arbor and the Leslie Park Golf Course, we have completed a yearlong restoration of Traver Creek. This $1.7 million project reduces sediment, phosphorus and polluted runoff entering the Huron River from the 4600-acre Traver Creek watershed.
The River Raisin Watershed Council's Adopt-A-Stream program consists of three events; Training Day, Stream Search and Bug I.D. Day. Volunteers from all across the watershed work in teams to collect macroinvetebrates from twenty sites to determine the water quality of each site. There are both spring and fall collections.
Two Upcoming Clean Up Days, scheduled for Saturday, September 20th & Saturday, October 18th, from 9a-2p.
