Property taxes become delinquent and payable to the county Treasurer on March 1 of the following calendar year. For example, 2016 property taxes became delinquent on March 1, 2017. There are several payment options available; we accept Cash, Check, Credit/Debit Cards, or automatic payments from your checking or savings account (ACH). If you are unable to pay your entire delinquent tax balance at one time, you may make partial payments.
An ACH payment is an electronic debit of your checking or savings account. Payments can be set up to be a one-time payment, weekly on Fridays, or monthly payments on the 10th or 20th of each month. To start automatic payments, fill out the ACH payment form
and fax to 734-222-6632 or mail to Washtenaw County Treasurer, PO Box 8645, Ann Arbor, MI 48107-8645.
We accept mailed payments by check, Credit Card, or ACH. Payments made by mail must be received in our office on or before the last business day of the month in order to receive the payoff amount for that month. USPS payments can be mailed to the PO Box address above. If using a service other than USPS (such as UPS or FedEx) mail your payment to Washtenaw County Treasurer, 200 N Main St, Ste 200, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. Please note your property identification number on your payment. You will receive a receipt by mail.
Our office is in the County Government Services Building on the corner of Main and Ann Streets at 200 N Main in Ann Arbor, second floor, suite 200. You may pay with a check, cash, or Visa/MasterCard/Discover. We have free, 15 minute parking located outside the Ann St entrance to our building.
