WCSO Shop with a Cop 2016 – Donations Needed!
For the past fifteen years during the holiday season the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has held the “Shop with a Cop” program in both western and eastern Washtenaw County. Its purpose is to provide children in need with an opportunity to shop for gifts for those whom they love. Learn how you can make a difference.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office K9s Fred and Argo have received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. The vest was sponsored by an anonymous sponsor.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office began training staff in the identification of a heroin overdose and on how to administer Naloxone to counteract the effect of the overdose at the beginning of August, 2015. To date, 70 deputies and 26 individuals from human service organizations throughout Washtenaw County have been trained in how to administer Naloxone. During this time period Sheriff’s Deputies have saved five (5) lives as a result of their training and ability to administer Naloxone.
