WCSO Deputies have been equipped with Naloxone, a medication to treat opioid overdose in an emergency situation, since August of 2015. Since then deputies have saved sixteen (16) lives by administering Naloxone; the two most recent lives were saved by different deputies within the same shift.
Deputy Urban and his canine partner, Fred, visited a Girl Scout Daisy Troop in Dexter last week to help them earn their Gerri Flower Pedal Badge which is about respecting authority and “playing by the rules”. Deputy Urban and Fred received this nice letter of thanks from the Daisy Troop:
