Phase One - Applicant must complete and pass the pre-employment test required prior to submitting an employment application. (Check the job posting for the required pre-employment test).
Phase Two - Applicant submits completed employment application and background inquiry documents to the Human Resources Office for review.
Phase Three - Criminal Background and Motor Vehicle Records Check.
Phase Four - Central Dispatch Assessment Center (For Communications
Operator applicants only).
Phase Five - Behavioral Based Human Resources Interview and Credit Check.
Phase Six - Behavioral Based Senior Management Interview.
Phase Seven - Conditional Offer of Employment.
Phase Eight - Medical examination, drug screening, vision and hearing
tests.
Phase Nine - Psychological Examination and Psychological
Evaluation.
Phase Ten - Uniform Fitting
Phase Eleven - Firearms Qualifications (Deputy Sheriff and Court
Officer candidates only).
Phase Twelve - Background Investigation.
Phase Thirteen - Administrative Review.
Phase Fourteen - Final Offer of Employment.
