Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office <br>Community Work Program
The Community Work Program provides an alternative to incarceration for sentenced misdemeanants and adult probationary felons by coordinating and supervising their participation in community service activities. The program:
- Provides a viable, accountable and cost effective sentencing alternative by diverting selected offenders from incarceration.
- Reduces the number of sentenced offenders in county and state facilities.
- Provides the county with restitution from convicted offenders in the form of community labor service.
- Provides counseling to offenders on topics related to work habits and performance.
- Supervises the in-house arrest program.
Hours of operation for the Work Program are Tuesday through Saturday,
8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. For more information, please call 734-973-4867.
