The Community Work Program provides an alternative to incarceration for sentenced misdemeanants and adult probationary felons by coordinating and supervising their participation in community service activities.  The program:

• Provides a viable, accountable and cost effective sentencing alternative by diverting selected offenders from incarceration.
• Reduces the number of sentenced offenders in county and state facilities.
• Provides the county with restitution from convicted offenders in the form of community labor service.
• Provides counseling to offenders on topics related to work habits and performance.
• Supervises the in-house arrest program.

Hours of operation for the Work Program are Tuesday through Saturday,
