History

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office is a full service law enforcement agency serving Washtenaw County. Located thirty miles west of metropolitan, Washtenaw County is easily accessed by two major interstate expressways, I-94 and US 23, three airports, and one railway system.

Washtenaw County covers 710.07 total square miles, and is characterized by appropriate growth and innovative service delivery programs for its 322,895 residents. The County offers a broad range of lifestyles, experiences and opportunities. It consists of both urban and rural areas which include academic, industrial and corporate settings.
