Retired Sheriff’s Office Corporal Harry Valentine Honored as Grand Marshal of the Dexter Daze Parade

Corporal Harry Valentine retired from the Sheriff’s Office in December of 2014 with 30 years of service to the Washtenaw County community. His contributions continue even today, as he is still an active member of the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard.

He has also taken on the role of “Sheriff’s Office Historian” as he works to complete a “Hallway of History” to honor the great history of the Office. Harry also played a leadership role in developing the Sheriff’s Office “Hall of Honor”, an area of the main station on Hogback Road that pays tribute to those who gave their life in service to the Washtenaw County community.  A dedicated family man, Harry celebrated his 39th wedding anniversary with his wife Debbie on the same day as the parade! The Dexter Daze Parade took place on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 10:00AM in downtown Dexter.
