WCSO Police Service Dog Visits Dexter Elementary School

Deputy Gerrod Visel and his canine partner, Karn, visited Wylie Elementary School in Dexter to perform a demonstration to assist his son, Brayden, during a speech on police service dogs and their training.

Dep. Visel & PSD KarnKarn is certified as a Police Service Patrol & Drug Detection Dog by the United States Police Canine Association (USPCA) & the National Association of Professional Canine Handlers (NAPCH).  He specializes in drug detection, tracking, area & article searches, aggression control & criminal apprehension.  Karn, a German Shepherd Dog, was born on November 5th, 2010 &  joined the Sheriff's Office on December 29th, 2012.
