WCSO Parks Service Program Keeping the Parks Safe

The Sheriff’s Office Parks Service Program (PSP) was created in 2011 in collaboration with Washtenaw County Parks & Recreation. Our shared goal is to ensure that every visitor to the County’s 32 parks, preserves and properties has an enjoyable, safe and positive experience through the fair and appropriate enforcement of all park rules and regulations by our Park Services Officers (PSO).

PSO CollageUnder the guidance and support of Corporal Mike Williams, our PSO’s patrol the parks and provide a consistent public safety presence, working to maintain positive relationships with park patrons and staff.  Their presence provides a way for the Sheriff’s Office to uphold its mission of creating public safety, providing quality service and building strong and sustainable communities.
