Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning Honors Deputy Brian Webb as an “All-Star in Impaired Driving Enforcement”
The Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning (OHSP) is coordinating the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over drunk driving enforcement campaign, July 1-13. To help increase awareness of the increased enforcement effort and the importance of not driving drunk, OHSP is planning kickoff press conferences on July 1.
As part of the events they are featuring the 2013 MADD Lifesaver Award recipients as their “Impaired Driving Enforcement All-Star Team.” Playing off of the popular Major League Baseball All-Star Game, these officers represent the best of the best in impaired driving enforcement.
Our own Deputy Sheriff Brian Webb has been selected as one of the “All-Stars” of impaired driving enforcement. He will be attending the press conference on July 1st at Comerica Park at 10:00 a.m. Deputy Joe Ballard, who is assigned to Sheriff’s Traffic Services, will also be attending the conference.
“Given all of the time many of us spend traveling throughout our communities, impaired driving remains a serious threat to community safety, requiring a consistent and diligent enforcement effort. We’re proud of Brian and grateful for his leadership on this important community safety issue.”
~ Jerry L. Clayton, Sheriff
“I am certainly humbled by this and of course honored to be acknowledged for something I believe in.”
~ Brian Webb, Deputy Sheriff
