6th Annual Ford Lake Frozen Leap

The 6th Annual Ford Lake Frozen Leap is set for Saturday, February 15th, 2014. If you've never heard of the Ford Lake Frozen Leap all you need to know is that you can see your fellow Sheriff Office employees, also known as “Squeal Team Six”, jumping into Ford Lake while it's freezing outside!

Squeal Team SixThe Ford Lake Frozen Leap is an annual event in Ypsilanti, MI on Ford Lake that raises money and awareness for local non-profits! Over the past 5 years this “frozen leap” has raised over $40,000 for local charities, including $25,000 last year alone for SOS Community Services. This year they’re partnering with The Mike Hart Family Foundation in hopes of raising funds and awareness for their organization in addition to Growing Hope, Ele’s Place and Detroit’s Dollars for Scholars.
