2 arrested in Lodi home invasion

On 01/11/2011, Deputies assigned to Lodi Township responded to the 7000 block of Lindemann Road (West of Alber Road) for a home invasion in progress. The Deputies arrived and found the homeowner holding the suspect, a forty-eight year-old male Saline resident, down on the side deck.

The suspect was immediately arrested and information was attained that there was a suspect vehicle, that was occupied by a female subject, in the immediate area. Responding Deputies stopped the suspect vehicle in the area of Diuble Road and Pleasant Lake Road and determined the female driver, a forty-two year-old female Saline resident and wife to the male suspect,  was involved in the incident and was taken into custody .

The Deputies discovered that two homeowners, a male and female, were inside the residence when they heard a noise in the kitchen area. The female resident went to investigate and saw the suspect in the kitchen. The suspect, who had a hammer in his hand, approached the victim and raised the hammer. The female homeowner fell back but was not struck. The suspect attempted to flee out the side door and the male homeowner grabbed the suspect and they fell onto the deck. The female homeowner then called 911 and the male homeowner struggled with the suspect and held him down until the Deputies arrived.

The time of occurrence was at 12:11 PM on 01/11/2011.

Both the male and female suspect were transported to the County Jail. The case will be turned over to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
