Another B&E Suspect Arrested!
Suspect injures himself while fleeing a home he has just broken into and seeks medical attention at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital where our detectives locate him.
On 12/30/2009 at approximately 9:10 PM, WCSO Deputies Rush, Williams, Krings, Visel and Sergeant Radzik were dispatched to the 500 block of Onandaga Street in Ypsilanti Township for a burglary that just occurred. It was discovered entry was gained through kicking in the front door, and exiting out through breaking the sliding glass door. One XBOX system, cash, alcohol, and miscellaneous jewelry were taken. It was discovered the suspect when fleeing the residence injured himself on the sliding glass door, where he left blood and a baseball cap at the scene.
On 12/31/2009 WCSO Detective Sinks and Robinson were requested to interview a possible stabbing victim at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. The victim indicated he was stabbed on 12/30/2009, and sustained a serious injury to his right hand/arm. During the interview Detectives discovered no stabbing occurred and the subject sustained injury to his hand/arm when he fled the above residence after the initial break in. On 1/4/2010, the 17-year old Pontiac resident was released from the hospital and arrested on the above Home Invasion. He was transported to the WCJ.
