Pretrial Screening Process
Utilizing state grant funds, Community Corrections has initiated a Pretrial Screening process in Washtenaw County. Court Service Liaison Staff or CSLs as they are commonly known, conduct interviews with defendants who are awaiting arraignment. The purpose of the interview is to verify information to present to the court prior to arraignment. CSL staff can be contacted at: (734) 973-4771.
Community Corrections offers pretrial programming that utilizes different levels of supervision from minimum to intensive. Community Corrections pretrial programs are considered a condition of bond and violations can result in issuance of warrants and/or return to the Washtenaw County Jail. Community Corrections offers the following pretrial programs independently or in combination with one another:
DART Program
Day Reporting
Tether
Substance Abuse Treatment
