Sheriff Star

Purpose: The purpose of the Unpaid Internship Program is to provide college/university students with practical learning experiences that cultivate the important skills needed for a career in the law enforcement and/or corrections field. Students are given the opportunity to broaden their educational experience by observing law enforcement and/or correction officers deliver criminal justice service to the public.

Students, who are interested in applying for an unpaid internship opportunity in law enforcement and/or corrections, must submit the documents listed below to the Human Resources Office for consideration. The completion of an internship application does not guarantee acceptance to the Internship Program. Applications received will be reviewed. Selections will be made based on eligibility and availability of staff. The Human Resources Office will contact the applicant to provide information regarding final status.
