    • Defined Benefit Program through the Municipal Employees' Retirement System (MERS) of Michigan (Sheriff's Department Employees Only)
    • Optional 457 Deferred Compensation Program (open to all employee groups)
  • Education and Employee Development:
    • Employer-Sponsored Professional Development Program
      • Classroom and on-line training provided at no cost to the employee
    • Tuition Reimbursement Program
      • Available to employees after one year of full-time employment
      • 50% of tuition reimbursed to employees upon completion of classes with a grade of "C" or better
      • Mini-Grant Program monies available to employees to:
        attend conferences, workshops, seminars and training events
        purchase books and videos related to the profession
        pay for college registration and technology fees (no application fees)
