Washtenaw County Works closely with community organizations to provide services to homeless individuals and families.  In 2004, the Delonis Center was opened to shelter homeless persons. 

• Shelter Association of Washtenaw County
  The Shelter Association offers a variety of services and programs to help individuals who are experiencing homelessness.  Services range from providing emergency shelter, referrals for substance abuse treatment, clothing vouchers, transportation, and food to providing health care, housing assistance, and money management. 
  
• Washtenaw Housing Alliance
  A coalition of ten non-profit organizations that serve the homeless or those at risk of homelessness. These non-profit organizations are independently operated and have been offering a vast array of services within Washtenaw County for over 283 years collectively.
  

• "A  Home for Everyone: Blueprint to End Homelessness in Washtenaw County"
  A plan that envisions that every person in Washtenaw County has a safe home. We see this as the foundation for a healthy life and the ability to participate meaningfully in our community. This is a plan to end homelessness in Washtenaw County.
