Walking Tour on Portage Creek - June 26, 2014


6-8 PM ** Beckwith Preserve, Stockbridge, MI Take a guided nature walk through the Beckwith Preserve with the Huron River Watershed Council and learn about wildflowers and other spring/summer flora and enjoy Portage Creek with flows through the preserve.

The Water Resources Commissioner's Office is a member of many watershed and creekshed groups, including the Huron River Watershed Council, which work to protect the quality of our rivers, creeks, streams and wetlands.

We are launching a new program to assist businesses and non-profit organizations in recognizing, developing and implementing environmentally sound behavior in the areas of water quality protection, waste reduction & recycling and pollution prevention. There are three opportunities for participation:

  2. Pollution Prevention
  3. Waste Knot
