Water Resources Commissioner
Washtenaw County's Office of the Water Resources Commissioner and Public Health's Environmental Health Division help produce two radio shows in collaboration with WEMU News. Tune in to hear about environmental issues impacting Washtenaw County!
Check out this video showing how stormwater can make it to the river in 15-30 minutes. Along the way, stormwater picks up garbage, dirt and heat. All of that makes up non-point source pollution which is the biggest problem for clean streams. Planting rain gardens, installing rain barrels and keeping green spaces green helps keep our streams clean.
We care about the quality of service the Water Resources Commissioner's Office delivers. If you have had recent contact with us, please let us know how you feel!
