The WCHO has overall responsibility for the management of funds for behavioral health and primary care services.  The Finance Unit ensures that all payments and receipts to the various contracts for service are appropriately processed for the organization.

Customer Services The mission of Customer Services is to bring increased awareness of service options to the consumers and the general public and to foster increased sensitivity to the issues surrounding mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance abuse.  Member Services also seeks to promote the best interests and service needs and rights of the consumers.
Mental Health Services The WCHO contracts with Washtenaw County Community Support & Treatment Services for services for persons with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities.  These services are provided at various sites throughout the County and are augmented by a number of additional contracts for support services.

Office of Recipient Rights

The Office of Recipient Rights helps insure that quality mental health services are provided to consumers.  Recipient Rights staff monitor service provision and encourage prevention of rights violations by providing staff training and advocating for consumers.  The office insures that individual rights are protected and maintained while receiving services.  Any individual can ask for a printed copy of full consumer rights.
Provider Relations Unit The Provider Relations Unit maintains a fair and  equitable process in selecting vendors to provide supports and services to mental health consumers through the Affiliation (which includes Lenawee, Livingston and Monroe Counties).
Substance Abuse Services The Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency (SACA) funds assessment and treatment services for persons in Livingston and Washtenaw Counties who receive Medicaid or who do not have medical insurance.  These services are available through the Access Unit of the Washtenaw Community Health Organization.  SACA also funds substance abuse prevention services.
