Farmers Market Bonus Bucks Extended

FOOD STAMP BONUS BUCKS EXTENDED AT DOWNTOWN YPSILANTI FARMERS MARKET

 A program designed to put more locally-grown produce in the shopping bags of low-income residents at the Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market has been EXTENDED through September, or while supplies last. Each time food stamp recipients use their Bridge Card at the market they receive up to $10.00 back in "Bonus Bucks."  

 Customers have used their Bonus Bucks on fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, cheese and other foods available at the market. The market, located in the Key Bank parking lot on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Hamilton Street, is open from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.  

The Bonus Bucks are funded by a $2500 grant from the Michigan Department of Community Health and administered by Washtenaw County Public Health.
