UPDATE: 2020 HIP Objectives

Construction Status

In January and February, community volunteers and Washtenaw County Public Health staff are collaborating to finish analyzing, prioritizing, and establishing the new 2020 HIP objectives for the county. Congratulations and thank you to those volunteers for months of dedication to this important process. The 2020 Objectives are invaluable for securing grants, prioritizing program initiatives, crafting evaluation plans, and forming effective community collaborations with vision and purpose. The HIP Objectives create cohesion and magnify everyone’s capacity to improve the health of our community.

Data Rollout Timeline

During March and into spring 2007, the 2020 Objectives will be introduced to both CHC and community members including residents and local organizations, agencies, and individuals working to improve the health of our community.

  • CHC rollout plan – The Objectives will be “unveiled” at the March 13th Community Health Committee (CHC) meeting (LLRC, 12-1:30 pm). Please, Bring a Buddy To This CHC Meeting! Take along someone new who has yet to learn about HIP survey data and what a tremendous tool the Objectives are. Spread the word to your colleagues and workgroups – pledge to make a HIP announcement at the next several meetings you attend, and then steer them to the HIP website for details! http://hip.ewashtenaw.org
  • Community-specific rollout plan – Starting in April, HIP partners and Public Health staff will share the 2020 Objectives with local communities. In conjunction with an upcoming local event, HIP team members will share the data in an informal way that will encourage audience participation and engagement. Participating communities include but are not limited to Ann Arbor, Saline, Ypsilanti and the Chelsea/Manchester/Dexter area. If you would like to hold a HIP data presentation in another region of the county or for your organization/agency, please contact Keven Mosley-Koehler at koehlerk@ewashtenaw.org.
