Community Health Committee (CHC)

CHC is HIP's coalition and has included over 200 participants from  diverse organizations including health systems, government, schools, community-based organizations, business, neighborhood and faith-based groups, and individual citizens. Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings where we share progress on HIP objectives, identify opportunities for collaboration, and learn about best practices occurring in the realm of community health improvement . Approximately 30-60 members attend each coalition meeting.

• 2010 CHC Meeting Schedule: January 12, March 9, May 11, September 14, November 9, from 12:00 – 1:30 pm
• Lunch is provided to those who RSVP. Coffee, tea, and water are available.
• Please note that 2010 CHC meetings will be held at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System’s “Ellen Thompson Women’s Health Center” on the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Campus.
• The Women’s Health Center is located in the Specialty Centers Area. View campus map

• Upon entering the Women's Health Center, take the elevator up to the 2nd floor, turn left and follow signs to the meeting room.

Implementation Team

The Implementation Team is responsible for quality assurance, monitoring health outcomes, interpreting data and information dissemination regarding HIP objectives.

• Meetings generally held 4th Wednesday of each month, 8:00-10:00 am  
• 2009 Meetings: 10/28, 12/9
• 2010 Meetings: January 27, February 24, March 24, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, September 22, October 27, December 8 (December meeting moved to 2nd Wednesday (12/8/10) due to holiday)
• Location: Zingermans Next Door (upstairs), 420 Detroit St, Ann Arbor map

Coordinating Committee

Coordinating Committee is responsible for tracking progress of HIP objectives, setting agenda for the CHC meetings and activities, and assuring that Implementation Team and Policy Committee workplans serve larger HIP/CHC goals.

• Meetings held 4th Tuesday of every other month (in months opposite CHC), 9:00-10:30 am
• 2009 Meetings: 10/27
• 2010 Meetings: February 23, April 27, June 22, August 24, October 26
• Location: Learning Resource Center (LRC) in the County Service Center, 4135 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor
