Community Health Committee

CHC provides community oversight and networking opportunities for over 200 members of diverse organizations. These include hospitals, government, schools, community-based organizations, neighborhood groups and individual citizens. Newcomers are particularly welcomed to this gathering where we share progress on HIP objectives, opportunities for resource development and collaboration with county partners. Approximately 30-60 members attend each CHC meeting.

  • Everyone welcome!
  • Meetings generally held 2nd Tuesday of every odd month, 12:00-1:30 pm
  • 2009 Schedule: 1/13, 3/10, 5/12, 9/15, 11/10 (Please note: There will be no July meeting)
  • Location: Learning Resource Center (LRC) in the County Service Center, 4135 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor
  • Lunch is provided to those who RSVP at least one week before the meeting. Coffee, tea, and water are available at each meeting.

Implementation Team

The Implementation Team is responsible for quality assurance, monitoring health outcomes, interpreting data and information dissemination regarding HIP objectives.

  • Meetings generally held 4th Wednesday of each month, 8:00-10:00 am  
  • 2009 Schedule: 1/28, 2/25, 3/25, 4/22, 5/27, 6/24, 7/22, 9/23, 10/28, 12/9
  • Location: Zingermans Next Door (upstairs), 420 Detroit St, Ann Arbor map


Coordinating Committee

Coordinating Committee is responsible for tracking progress of HIP objectives, setting agenda for the CHC meetings and activities, and assuring that Implementation Team and Policy Committee workplans serve larger HIP/CHC goals.

  • Meetings held 4th Tuesday of every other month (in months opposite CHC), 9:00-10:00 am
  • 2009 Schedule: 2/24, 4/28, 6/23, 8/25, 10/27
  • Location: Learning Resource Center (LRC) in the County Service Center, 4135 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor
