2020 Objectives for Healthy Eating

Healthy Kids

  • Increase consumption of five or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day from 13% to 28% in children 6-17 years.
  • Decrease the rate of overweight children 6-17 years from 12% to 8%.

Healthy Adults

  • Increase the proportion of adults who consume five or more servings of fruits and vegetables per day from 25% to 33%.
  • Decrease the proportion of adults who are overweight from 50% to 40%.
  • Decrease the proportion of Black females 18-49 years who are overweight from 62% to 40%.

Healthy Communities

  • Develop Surveillance for: Access to healthy food.
