Washtenaw Alive is the suicide prevention planning coalition of Washtenaw County. Facilitated by the Washtenaw County Public Health Department, members from around the county have come together to build and implement the Washtenaw County Suicide Prevention Plan and provide resources to the community. Membership is made up of individual citizens and staff members from various organizations around the county including:

Please note:Anne Daws-Lazar has been appointed as the new Critical Incident Debriefing Coordinator within the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Division. Anne recently retired after 25 years with the Ann Arbor Police Department as both a Communications Training Officer and Dispatch Shift Leader. In 1995 she was trained in basic CISM (“Critical Incident Stress Management”) and joined Washtenaw County’s team, eventually serving five years as the team’s program coordinator. Following her retirement, Anne remained active in CISM and has also responded to numerous TERN requests (“Traumatic Events Response Network, or CISM for the general public). Anne holds a BA in Social Welfare from the State University of New York at Albany. .
