PH award

The Michigan Association of Local Public Health (MALPH) awarded the Washtenaw County Health Improvement Plan with a special Public Health Community Achievement Award at its recent state-wide conference. The award sited HIPs ability to bring together diverse partner organizations and individuals, and its long-term focus on monitoring health status. Numerous examples of HIPs contributions to community successes were outlined, including clean indoor air legislation; school-based health clinics; and physical activity promotion.
