The Washtenaw County Dental Clinic proudly serves adults and children who are uninsured and low income, or who are enrolled in Medicaid, MIChild or Healthy Kids. All Medicaid plans are accepted.

The dental clinic is located in the Haab Health Building in downtown Ypsilanti. The address is 111 North Huron Street, Ypsilanti MI 48197, downstairs from Neighborhood Family Health Center and two blocks from the bus station. My Community Dental Clinics operates the clinic for Washtenaw County Public Health.

In early 2017, the Washtenaw County Dental Clinic celebrated its second anniversary. Since opening, the dental clinic has provided more than 10,352 patient visits to adults and kids with Medicaid or who are uninsured and low income. It served over 1,500 adults and children in 2015 and more than 2,500 in 2016. That's over 4,000 local residents smiling more!

 Dental visits prevent health problems. Visit twice per year. Every year.


All new patients must register by calling the central registration number 877-313-6232. You can also complete the online form, and the staff will call you back to schedule your first appointment. New patients in need of immediate treatment should call 877-313-6232 and tell the staff about any emergency needs when registering.

The clinic accepts all Medicaid plans. 

For patients without dental insurance, there is a $50 registration fee. Registration includes an initial exam, x-rays and a treatment plan. After the initial exam, x-rays and treatment plan, there is a sliding fee scale. Patients can apply to get lower rates by showing the clinic their taxes.

Information for Veterans and their Families

The Washtenaw County Dental Clinic helps residents who need low cost dental care. Veterans and their families may be eligible for better health or dental benefits. Your veteran disability payments may not count as income, so you may qualify for Medicaid or more affordable insurance plans. Talk to the experts at the Washtenaw Health Plan! Call 734-544-3030 or walk in at 555 Towner Street, Ypsilanti. The Washtenaw County Dental Clinic is also a community art gallery.
