The Washtenaw County Coalition for Infant Mortality Reduction is made up of individuals and groups who are concerned about reducing infant mortality rates in our county. In particular, our goal is to reduce racial disparities in infant mortality and in low birth weight/premature delivery. Statistics

In 2006 and again in 2007, there were 23 infant deaths in Washtenaw County.  That is the size of a kindergarten class each year.
