The Health Promotion / Disease Prevention Division usually has one paid summer intern per year that works full time between May – August and often this intern gets a summer stipend and also credit for some graduate school coursework (MPH, MSW).We also place interns who need to fulfill credit requirements for the School of Social Work (year long interns) and Public Health is in contact with the internship office at the UM SSW to identify interns looking for this placement. This is unpaid. If we have grant projects that have paid opportunities for short term projects, we identify students in need of these kinds of placements usually through the UM School of Public Health or UM School of Social Work.
Maternal and Infant Health program works through the University of Michigan's School of Social Work liaison.
