Community Crisis and Disaster Response

Members of the Prevention and Community Response Team provide and coordinate crisis and disaster response services to create a safety net for the psychological well being of County residents and workers subsequent to trauma or disaster.  Team members are trained in the ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) model to respond to individuals affected by these types of events.

This service is delivered through the Traumatic Events Response Network (TERN) and the Critical Incident Stress Management Team (CISM). TERN provides crisis management services to traumatized people in community settings such as neighborhoods, businesses, governmental agencies and schools. CISM provides specialized services to emergency response personnel (police, fire, EMS, etc.) and their families.
