AT&T Lifeline Michigan
Provides qualified customers with discounted phone service and the ability to add additional services and features.

To qualify, you must participate in one of the following programs or your household income must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. (Additional qualifying programs for Tribal Lands Lifeline are listed in the application.)

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Medicaid
  • Federal Public Housing/Section 8 Assistance
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  • National School Lunch – Free Lunch Program
  • Family Independence Program (FIP, formerly TANF)
  • Total household income at or below 150% of federal poverty guidelines. (Please see application for details.)

 Home Heating Credit

The Home Heating Credit offers support for heating costs. Michigan Department of Treasury determines eligibility and makes payments.

State Emergency Relief Program

The State Emergency Relief program may help low-income households pay part of their heating or electric bills and may help keep their utilities in service or have service restored. Anyone can apply for help. The program is available year-round.
