Psychiatric Emergency Services

Psychiatric Emergency Services is a joint program between the University of
Michigan and the Washtenaw Community Health Organization (WCHO) serving
the residents of Washtenaw County and the patients of the University of
Michigan Health System. Psychiatrists and other mental health professionals
provide emergency assistance for adults, children, and families in crisis
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Wasthenaw County Health Services
ACCESS
Health Services Access is the central entry point for all Medicaid-eligible
and indigent (uninsured) adults and children requesting Mental Health,
Public Health and/or Substance Abuse information and services in Washtenaw
County. Callers may receive health information and/or referrals to a variety
of community services. Individuals seeking mental health or substance abuse
treatment services receive a comprehensive screening completed by a
professional Social Worker or Public Health Nurse. Although the majority of
screenings are done over the phone, every effort is made to accommodate any
special needs callers may have.
