Washtenaw Health Plan
Washtenaw Health Plan (WHP) is a health care coverage program for low-income Washtenaw Country residents without health insurance. WHP helps people to access the health care services they need. A person will qualify for either "WHP Plan A" or "WHP Plan B." WHP Plan A has more comprehensive health benefits than WHP Plan B.

WHP (Plan A and B) covers primary care, diagnostic tests (such as X-rays and laboratory tests), pre-approved specialty care services, inpatient hospitalizations (in Washtenaw County only), Emergency Room services for "true emergencies" (in Washtenaw Country only for WHP Plan B), a limited number of prescription drugs (mostly generic drugs), and outpatient mental health visits.
