Met Tower to be Erected This Week

Today was the rescheduled day to raise the tower after our postponement last month. Elected officials and Chrysler Representatives hosted a media event at the site of the Met Tower at the Proving Grounds to celebrate the occassion. Unfortunately, due to rain and high winds, we couldn't risk trying to raise the tower today. Instead journalists and stakeholders had a chance to get up close to the now-put-together tower as it sits on blocks on the ground, ready to be hoisted up into the air. The whole event was video taped by Chrysler staff and video will be available on our website and Chrysler's web site shortly. We have also issued a press release for the event. We are now just waiting on weather and plan to have the tower up by next week.  All data collected will be publicly available monthly via this site.
