Program Plan of Action: Energy audits will be conducted on buildings that represent commercial, non-profit, municipal, and lower-income multi-family properties. These audits will identify key opportunities for energy efficiency achievement in two main areas:
-
Technical: Includes assessment of current lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) systems and building envelope.
-
Behavioral: Includes education on best practices and low to no-cost methods of reducing energy usage.
Owners/operators of the facilities will receive a report describing all opportunities or improvements and estimated payback periods for each procedure. To learn about how you can receive an audit from Rebuild Washtenaw County please email Ed Holley.
