Solid Waste Services
- Residents are responsible for securing their own waste hauler. Some options include:
- Great Lakes Waste Services: 800-589-9139
- Modern Waste Systems Inc: 888-788-9097
- Monroe's Rubbish Removal: 810-231-1055
- Clean-up Days: 2 per year, one in the spring and one in the fall at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds. Call 734-665-7583 or check online for exact dates, times, and acceptable items.
Recycling Services
- Drop-off location: Lodi Township Hall, 3755 Pleasant Lake Road
- When: 4th Saturday of every month from 8AM-Noon

- Acceptable Materials:
- Paper: newspaper, cardboard, magazines, office paper, phone books, boxboard
- Metals: aluminum and tin cans
- Plastic: #1 PET plastic and #2 HDPE plastic, bottles only. Discard caps before recycling. No #1 or #2 tubs or plastic with #3-7.
- Other: Juice boxes, glass and ceramics, used motor oil, oil filters, car batteries, styrofoam, plastic bags (clean and dry)
- Residents are also encouraged to check with their waste hauler to see if they provide curbside recycling services.
Yard Waste
- Yard waste drop-off services occur at Lodi Township Hall, 3755 Pleasant Lake Road, April-November (often excluding July and August), 8AM-Noon, on the 4th Saturday of the month. Call 734-665-7583 or check online for more information.
- Yard waste must be in biodegradable paper bags (no plastic).
- Shrub trimmings and sticks must be bundled no larger than 10" in diameter and 4' long (no nylon rope or string).
- If you plan to have an open fire, call the Saline Area Fire Department at 734-429-7911 to obtain a permit.
