Solid Waste Services

• Residents are responsible for securing their own waste hauler. Some options include:

• County-sponsored clean-up days to be announced. Check online for more information on the spring and fall clean-up days happening nearest you.

Recycling Services

• Hours: 24 hours

• Acceptable Materials
• Paper: newspaper, cardboard, magazines, office paper, phone books, boxboard
• Metals: aluminum and tin
• Plastic: #1 PET plastic and #2 HDPE plastic, bottles only. Discard caps before recycling. No #1 or #2 tubs or plastic with #3-7.
• Other: Glass
• Residents are also encouraged to check with their waste hauler to see if they provide curbside recycling services.

Yard Waste

• There is no yard waste collection service in Freedom Township.
• If you plan to have an open fire, please call the Manchester Township Fire Department at 734-428-9439 to obtain a permit.
